How do I sync Google Earth data with Google Maps?

I'm having severe trouble with Google "My Maps" (server won't save, polygon attributes changing sporadically, etc). So now I'm trying to work in Google Earth (saving files as I go) and sync with "My Maps" later. However, not only am I having issues with the saved files, but I can find no documentation on syncing my local polygons, etc with "My Maps". Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction for this kind of usage? Is this even possible? If push comes to shove I'm more than happy working strictly in Google Maps, but I need a reliable local saving paradigm as well.

Google, the brains of the internet! But somehow we can't easily sync between google earth and google maps. Absolutely unbelievable that is, yet they hold the answer to almost every other question out there. I cannot wait till Microsoft, yahoo, apple find some real power amongst themselves to give Google some competition and bring them google back down to reality!! Fix and attend to the simple things before launching a rocket into space I say! Listen to the people, read the google forums! Google is almost the only organisation which does not respond to it's users for anything! Disgusting service.
